In Focus: Metal Strapping
Thursday, June 12th, 2008Loads and packages require strapping to keep your package intact. There is a variety of strapping such as poly strapping, polyester and metal strapping that comes in different grades of steel; and each variant provides different properties and level of strapping reliability and quality. For each type of material used in making strapping, specific strapping machines are used to make engineered quality you need.
One type of strapping available at present is the Low Carbon Grade high tensile steel strapping that is made of cold-rolled low carbon steel strapping, treated to produce a strapping with a fine surface and controlled physical properties. On the other hand, Medium Carbon Grade high tensile steel strapping is produced through a cold-roll process of medium carbon and high manganese steel strappings, heat treated to achieve a combination of excellent surface finish and strength and shock resistance. These strappings are produced using steel strapping machines. Metal strappings are used for high strength requirements that poly and polyester strappings cannot provide.
For shipping services, you should have the most efficient and reliable industrial strapping tools and choose the material you will use to make sure all the packages entrusted to you will be in good shape when they reach their corresponding recipients.
